Ramy Youssef

Youssef is an Egyptian-American comedian, actor and director. He can currently be seen in the new hit Hulu show “Ramy” which premiered on Friday, April 19, 2019.  He created, produced and stars in the show which is inspired by his own experiences.  “Ramy” centers around a first-generation Egyptian-American Muslim on a spiritual journey in his politically divided New Jersey neighborhood. 
 
Youssef recently filmed his first one-hour comedy special at the Chicago Cultural Center. The special is produced by A24 and Jerrod Carmichael and is set to premiere on HBO on Saturday, June 29, 2019.  
 
Youssef is most commonly known for playing the recurring roles of Kevin on “See Dad Run” (2012-2014) and Samar Swailem on “Mr. Robot” (2017). Youssef’s other television credits include appearances on “Money From Strangers”, “TeenNick Halo Awards”, Comedy Central’s “Colossal Clusterfest”, “Travel Ban” and “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” as himself. Youssef also starred in “Living The Dream”, “On the Loose”, and “Above Average Presents”, “One Crazy Cruise”, “Gortimer Gibbon’s Life on Normal Street”, “Why Him?” and “Don’t Worry, He Won’t Get Gar on Foot”.   
 
Currently, Youssef is voicing the character Omar in the animated feature “Hump”. Youssef went to Rutgers University in New Jersey and is currently based in New Jersey.
